This is a GREAT company. On time. Clear and reasonable estimate. No price games. Clear and concrete communication. When I was not happy with the work, Richard, the owner of the company, came out on Saturday, explained to me in detail why the chimney was repaired the way it was, and did all he could to resolve the issues I was having. The whole crew showed up and fixed it. I must say the issue is resolved to my complete satisfaction, and I would highly recommend to hire this company for all chimney and masonry needs.

The mortar in my chimney needed to be repointed. Above All gave me a reasonable estimate for the job. They have done sweeping and yearly inspections as well as other work on my chimney over the last 10 years, so I was familiar with the reliable and thorough work they do. They did a fantastic job. Not only did they help me clean and repair my chimney—which was in dire need of maintenance—they also helped me identify some issues with my roof and even helped me identify a good wooden stove to install in my home. The team that came out and did the work was trustworthy, timely, and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any chimney related issues and I will never use anyone else.

110% We had a ceiling leak and I was at a complete loss with what to do first. So, I called some roofers and they gave me some hefty quotes for a roof. Luckily, one of the companies gave me some pictures of the roof with a drone. I knew I needed another opinion on the cause of the issue. I called Above All because I saw some decent reviews. They took my issue seriously and asked me to email the pictures to Rich for review. He gave me an overview of what the problem may be and then came out that day to give me an estimate. It was more than reasonable and I learned a bit about how chimneys work in the process! They got me scheduled within a week and were efficient, professional, friendly, and kind. They corrected the top of my chimney and installed a liner—all in under 4 hours! Sending a HUGE thank you to the entire team for helping to ensure our peace of mind!

They introduced them to me. They placed cloth on floor and did their inspection of chimney and explained me what is to be done in future to protect blue tube and explained me why cleaning in near future needed. I needed a chimney clean and inspection. We just moved into a house and I was not sure how good the chimney was and wanted a clean prior to lighting fires. I called another company first and had the appointment set up; they canceled due to an emergency and rescheduled for the next day. At 4 PM the next day I called them, and they didn’t think they would be able to make it. So I called Above All. There was a crew at my house at the time promised the next day. The crew was extremely polite, professional and got the job done. They pointed out some items that needed attention, but told me I should be fine to have fires in the fireplace. I immediately called my daughter and provided her with the contact info for Above All. Great people and they get the job done. Thank you for a great job.

We contacted Rich at Above All after being told we needed expensive and unnecessary repairs by a chimney repair company associated with our oil company. Rich came to our house the next day, despite the fact that our house was outside of their service area. He was professional, honest and reassuring. The crew he sent to do the repairs that were actually needed were professional, highly skilled, polite and meticulous in cleaning any area they worked in at the end of each day. We had our chimney tied to the house, the stucco redone, the interior coated with fire shield cement and a lock-top damper installed. We felt the workmanship and improvements were well worth the price.

I scheduled for a time range of 8–10 a.m. They were here at 8 a.m. and left by 10:15 a.m. There were no hidden fees or charges, and they even helped me out by sealing the roof because I had noticed a drip when it rains. I had a hole at the top of my fireplace chimney for about five years (several attempts at patching it by others failed). It seemed like it was just a small hole, but apparently it doesn't take much for lots of rain to find its way in every time there is a significant storm! I finally realized there was no other option than to replace the entire chase cover cap, which is not inexpensive. I got several estimates, and Above All gave me the best quote – by far. They used top-notch materials. Plus, they never tried to upsell me with unexpected add-ons, a problem I've encountered numerous times with other contractors doing other work I've had done on my house over the years. Kathy and her crew were all very friendly, and they did exemplary work installing the new cap. I dealt mostly with Taylor at their office over the phone when I was trying to set this up, and I have to say she is absolutely the most pleasant and helpful front person I've ever encountered at any business in my entire life. I seldom write reviews, but I had to write one here!

We scheduled a fireplace cleaning and inspection with Above All Chimney & Masonry in Dec 2024. Kathy and Tom arrived promptly and went right to work, ensuring that our floors and hearth were properly covered and protected. Our 43-year-old furnace chimney was in need of extensive repair. A stainless steel flue liner was suggested, and the chimney needed new stucco applied. Kevin did the inspection and provided a quote that was much less than the others. All work was done on time and the site was cleaned up. I asked about a different cap than the one that came with the liner, and even though the one I wanted was more expensive, it was provided at no additional cost! Kathy and Frank came out to inspect and clean my fireplace chimney. The fireplace area was protected by tarps during the cleaning, and when they were done the area was as clean as when they started. During the inspection, Kathy was very thorough and found some problems in the flue. She provided an estimate for what was needed and said I could call anytime if I wanted the repairs done. No hard sell. Kathy and Frank were very professional, courteous and clean. I will definitely be using them for the repairs. I highly recommend them.

I noticed the bricks in my chimney coming apart. I called Above All Chimney and scheduled a free estimate. Rich came out and could see the external problem and came in to inspect my liner. Well, I needed a new liner and my entire chimney re-pointed. His crew came out on December 27 and finished on December 28. It was cold, and they were outside for 80% of the work. They were polite & organized. You wouldn’t even know they were here; they cleaned everything up. I thought the price was fair that was quoted. I would highly recommend and will use them for future needs.

I had concerns for the condition of the chimney. I had an inspection completed by another contractor and didn't think I was getting a fair deal. This is the second time we hired Above All for masonry jobs. The first to correct a contractor’s terrible work removing a window and filling in with bricks. The second time to re-point the top half of our brick wall because it was leaking. Both times they did a beautiful job. I have used Above All several times. They installed a liner and cleaned my chimney at my townhouse. When I moved, they inspected the three chimneys. One fireplace was in bad need of cleaning, which I had them do. The second one, for the oil heat, needed repair and cleaning. When we then had the heater serviced, the technician commented on the good job Above All did on the repair. The 3rd chimney was in bad shape. They gave us a quote, but having just moved in, we decided to wait. Last month, we had them back to update the quote. Since we are using that room, they suggested an insert that quote was only a few hundred more than just repair but much more heat. It's now over a month, and it's been great!

We just had our chimney re-stuccoed by Above All last week. Of course we got 4 estimates, and Above All being the best. I am glad I went off a friend's suggestion. They did an amazing job. Richard and his team are just completing a fireplace rebuild for us and have been fantastic to work with. Professional, experienced, punctual, considerate, respectful, and attentive in all aspects. Did a great job to control the dirt and dust and protected furniture and floors with tarps and runners. Knowledgeable? Heck yeah. We had four other people come in to look at the job and they ranged from clueless to capable. Richard came in and it was immediately clear he knows his stuff. He talked about the potential hiccups we could see and rattled off estimated costs for each scenario. All estimates proved highly accurate. After pulling out the firebox, they ran a camera up the chimney to inspect the tile and showed the areas where it was falling apart. They also shared the charred remains of the wood supports that were installed without enough insulation...and then outlined the many steps they would take to properly install and insulate any combustibles to avoid such a risk. In a word, excellent. Highly recommended for masonry and chimney needs in southeast PA.
